Experience the Wilderness – A day long Nature Camp at Bannerghatta: Module

Objectives : Sensitizing students on Nature, Ecosystem and Wildlife

Approach : Demonstration of activities, Eco games, Trails and Jungle Treks, Sessions on birds and wildlife, Group work

Duration : 1 day (12 hours from 7 am to 7 pm)

Venue : Camp site at Banneghatta (Jungle lodges & Resorts)

Camp Schedule

Morning Session
06:45 to 07:00 Assemble at Bangalore
07:00 to 08:00 Arrival at Camp Site and breakfast
08:00 to 09:00 Ice breaking and introduction to the nature camps
09:00 to 10:00 Breakfast
10:00 to 11:00 Session on forests and wildlife
11:00 to 12:00 Hands on activities – Balancing the nature and Who am I?
12:00 to 12:15 Break
12:15 to 13:00 Introduction to birds and demonstration of birds activities

Noon Session
13:00 to 14:00 Lunch
14:00 to 15:00 Introduction to nature and wildlife photography
15:00 to 16:00 Eco games and group work
16:00 to 16:15 Break

Evening Session
16:15 to 17:30 Jungle walk / Trail / Trek
17:30 to 18:00 Break
18:00 to 19:00 Recapitulation and distribution of certificate
19:00 to 20:00 Departure and arrival at Bangalore

Ice breaking:
In this session, students would be introduced to each other through activities. The objectives and the day long schedule of the will be briefed to the camps

Session on forests and wildlife
In an interactive session, importance of forests and wildlife and the need for their conservation will be introduced to the campers.

Demonstration of activities
Activities such Bamboo Balancing, Who am I?, Sense the Nature will be demonstrated with the campers to introduce the concepts of ecosystems.

Nature and Wildlife Photography
The Basics of nature and wildlife photography will introduced to the participants

Introduction to birds
Importance of birds in the nature and their role in the nature will be explained to the campers. Skills of birds’ identification and related activities will be demonstrated.

Nature Walk / Trail / Jungle trek
Campers will be taken out for a jungle trek to experience the wilderness. In this trail / walk / trek, campers will be introduced to variety of trees and associated wild animals.

Eco games
Eco games such as web of life, fish in the pond will be demonstrated to the participants.

Recapitulation and distribution of certificates
At the end of the day, the sessions and activities carried out in the day will be recapitulated and the campers will be given a certificate.

Cost Rs.2650.00 per person.
