Karnataka loses bronze in National Volleyball Championship

Karnataka lost bronze medal to Uttar Pradesh in the 38th Junior National Volleyball Championship for Boys, which ended on January 29th in West Bengal. Karnataka ranked fourth in the Boys Championship.

UP beat Karnataka by 79-59 (28-26, 25-09, 26-24). Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh won gold and silver medals respectively.

In the Girls Championship, Karnataka ranked fifth. The state team was defeated in the quarter final itself by Uttar Pradesh by 96-81 (21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-16). West Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu won gold, silver and bronze respectively.
