Results of D S Murthy and V Karunakaran Memorial Hockey Tournament

January 10: In the first match, PCTC beat Postal by 6-2 via tie-breaker. During regulation time, teams were tied at 2-2. For PCTC, J Purthy and Kerketta scored at 14th and 56th minute respectively. For Postal, Chalke and Naveen Shekar scored at 26th and 28th minute respectively.

January 9: BEML, Bangalore beat RWF in the first match by tie-breaker. The teams were tied at the score of 1-1. For BEML, Aravind had scored a goal in the 42nd minute. For RWF, Jayaraj had scored in the 36th minute.

January 8: In the first match, Ideal SC, KGF beat Flying HC by 6-5 via tie-breaker. During full regulation time, the teams were tied at 2-2. For Ideal SC, KGF, Shanmugam and Shankar scored at the 8th and 55th minute respectively. For Flying HC, Appachu and Vimal scored at 17th and 24th minute respectively.

In the second match, Postal beat Naveen HC by 5-1. For Postal, Shankar and Samuel Niranjan scored two goals each. Shankar scored at the 7th and 44th minute, Niranjan scored at 27th and 51st minute. Taranath scored a goal at 35th minute. Naveen HC’s lone goal was scored by Praveen Kumar at 29th minute.

January 10: In the first semi-finals, DB Jain College, Chennai beat SJCC, Bangalore by 3-2.

In the second semi-finals, Annamalai University beat SBM Jain College, Bangalore by 5-1. For Annamalai, Rafeeq scored two goals in 3rd and 34th minute. Ramesh Kanna, Ganavel and Muddappa scored one goal each at 40th, 59th and 61st minute respectively. For SBM Jain, Charan Changappa scored at 5th minute.

January 9: In the first match, DB Jain College, Chennai beat Royal College, Srilanka by 3-0. For DB Jain College, R Raj Kumar, S Meganathan and Nelson scored at the 2nd, 36th and 47th minute respectively.

In the second match, Jain University, Bangalore beat Anna University, Trichy by 5-0. For Jain University, Naresh and Mohammed Naeemuddin scored two goals each. Naresh scored at 7th and 23rd minute, Naeemuddin scored at 27th and 37th minute, and Rakesh scored a goal at the 11th minute.

In the third match, Annamalai University beat Surana College, Bangalore by 6 – 5 by tie-breaker. During regulation time, the teams were tied at 2-2. For Annamalai University, Rameshanna and Muddappa scored at 28th and 43rd minute respectively. For Surana College, Mithun and Aiyappa P R scored at 8th and 22nd minute respectively.

January 8: In the first match, SJCC, Bangalore beat SRM University by 8-6 via tie-breaker. During regulation time, teams were tied at 4-4. For SJCC, P U Kuttappa and Dhanush Nanaiah scored at the 4th and 24th minute respectively. Shan Bopaiah scored two goals, at 14th and 17th minute. For SRM University, all four goals were scored by Sivamani at 21st, 22nd, 38th and 42nd minute.

In the second match, Royal College Srilanka beat Jain Engineering by 8-0. For Royal College Srilanka, Shaheel and Malithra scored at the 5th and 17th minutes. Dhanuj A scored two goals at 4th and 34th minute. W Uwais scored two goals at 36th and 42nd minute. Susanga also scored two goals at 38th and 48th minute.

In the third match, Annamalai University beat St Joseph’s Arts and Science, Bangalore by 5-1. For Annamalai University Arvind scored two goals at 5th and 10th minute; Paulsesa scored two goals at 16th and 36th minute, and Muddappa scored a goal in the 6th minute. For St Joseph’s, Changappa scored at 28th minute.
