BBMP makes night shelters for homeless in Bommanahalli Zone

Accommodations for night shelterless destitutes were inaugurated in Bommanahalli by M. Krishnappa, Vidhana Sabha leader.

As per the directions of Supreme Court and Karnataka government, BBMP came forward and along with the help of some NGOs, created the first of its kind of night accommodations for the Homeless in the two Samudaya Bhavans of Kotanuru and Vasantapura areas of Bommanahalli. Around 108 homeless families and individuals can be accommodated and would also be provided dinner and blankets for the night.

During this program, youth and students from backward communities (SC/ST, Minorities) were distributed vehicles and college fee money was given for higher education.

For the information of BBMP Pensioners

The renewal of Life Certificates for the year 2011-12 of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Pensioners including Family Pensioners and Minor Pensioners will be renewed from 01.11.2011 to 31.01.2012 at the concerned banks where the pensioners are drawing their pension.

Pensioners are here by directed to renew their Life Certificates during the month of November-2011 to January-2012 failing which their pension will be stopped from April-2012. In case of death of pensioners, the same should be intimated to the concerned Banks and also to the Audit Officer, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, Pension Section immediately.
