Tree Plantation Program by BBMP and PES College

BBMP and PES College jointly co-ordinated a program to plant 300 different varieties of saplings on the roadside of Ganesha Temple in Ward No 165. PES College provided 300 tree guards.

Extensive tree planting has been going on all over Bangalore with the help of public and private organizations. BBMP has provided 40 thousand tree guards. Several individuals and organizations have contributed nearly 50 thousand tree guards. The Commissioner commended the efforts and co-operation by the people to save the environment.

About 6 water tankers are being bought by BBMP to provide water to the saplings and plants during summer. Several huge organizations have promised to give free water tankers to BBMP.
