Office Notification

Subject: Appointment of ‘Overseeing Officials’ to assess the damage caused by rain in BBMP jurisdiction.

Officials need to identify the danger spots and report the losses incurred to citizens (lives and property) due to heavy rain everyday by evening 5 pm in all the 8 regions pertaining to the Central Office. The following team is formed to inspect these reports.

  1. Chief Commissioner (Admin)

  2. Chief Accountant

  3. Asst Commissioner (Property)

  4. Asst Commissioner(Land acquisition)

  5. Asst Commissioner (Health)

The above mentioned officials need to be present in the Office until 10 pm everyday till the end of rainy season, i.e., Oct 2011. They need to take precautionary measures and decisions must be brought to the notice of Commissioner and Special Commissioner. And they need to perform their duties in the following manner:

  • Inspect the danger spots, assess the loss caused to life and property everyday and send a report to Chief/Joint Commissioner.

  • Regional Commissioner of flood inflicted areas must be in the important areas and report.

  • All officials of affected areas are not to take leave and work on priority.

  • All the affected areas should have Emergency rescue teams and tools like gum boots, raincoat, helmet, whistle, torch, axe cutters, ropes, etc.

  • Citizen complaints to be handled by the respective area Control Room.

  • Regional Chief/Joint Commissioners and Chief Executives should successfully execute the flood related relief work.

  • Everyday ‘Action Taken Report’ to be submitted.
