On Republic day, Kuvempu Nagar RWA (KRWA) organized a flag hoisting ceremony at Flag Post, 13th Cross, BTM 2nd Stage. A M Nadaf of BMTC presided over the function and addressed the gathering.
As part of our annual day, cultural programmes were organised the same evening at IWWA hall, 7th Main. Chief Guest for this occasion was Prof. Bhuvaneshwar Babu of RV College of Engineering.
Children in the age group 3-8 years enacted a play about Panchabhootas (the five elements). This was followed by dance and skit programmes. All children were given participation prizes.

The highlight of the evening was the talk by Mohan Kumar, Sub-inspector, Mico Layout Police Station. He enlightened the crowd on various ways in which public were cheated by thieves, and advised them to be alert at all times. He responded to queries by residents and accepted suggestions. The event concluded with a dinner for residents. ⊕
